Berlin Aquarium - Shark Tank - Opened Dec 2000

Our relationship with the Berlin Aquarium started in early 1999 when they commissioned a desgin/build for a shark tank. The Shallow Reef Tank included two inserts; the exhibit took 3 months of fabrication and 3 months of on site. It opeded in December of 1999. It caused a "feeding frenzy" at the admissions box and created a 32% increase in revenue. This was the impetus behind our second project with the Berlin Aquarium, which consisted of 4 new exhibits.

1. The flooded forest.
2. The mangrove.
3. Sout East Asia - Piranha.
4. Temperate Ocean tank.

From start to finish - 5 months prefabrication and 4 months on site.
